Al-Asala Islamic Society condemn in strong words the anti-Muslim act by Hindutva organizations to ban the Hijab in educational institutions in India.
Karnataka a south Indian state, ruled by ultranationalist political part Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP government ordered educational institutions to strictly ban the Hijab by Muslim girls in the premises of school, collage or university.
Muslim students were barred from attending the classes if they wear Hijab. This is a plan of a wider strategy of the current government, to oppress Muslims in India.
Al-Asala is calling the Arab public including authorities and international community to come forward to defeat the oppressive laws and rules of BJP. Muslim women wearing the Hijab, Niaqb and Burkha from hundreds of years in India, it is not new. Similarly wearing religious dress that is not causing any trouble to others is permitted by the Indian constitution as well. It is time for us to stand and speak out to protect the rights of Indian brothers and sisters.
Many international organizations and bodies like Amnesty, V-Derm, USCIRF criticized the targeted abuse of Indian Muslims by Hindutva groups. International Genocide Watch issued an alert on India, said India is heading towards Muslim Genocide.
Al-Asala urging the Muslim world to come forward the condemn the BJP and Modi government for the plans and strategies, and save India from massacre.
